1/2 Year

Happy 6 Months to our sweet boy! In 6 short months Jac has captured our hearts & has us wrapped around his little finger. We have learned so much in 6 months. Most importantly that having a child of our own is by far the most amazing experience that no one could have prepared us for. The good thing about blogging is that it makes you stop and think about all the sweet memories you have made. Sometimes we get so caught up in the hustle & bustle of everyday routine that we need a moment to stop & enjoy our little blessing. So lets rewind a bit and catch up where we left off last blog...

First up, we had our first Christmas! Jac is such a butterball. He looks squished up and uncomfortable in 1/2 these pictures, but he is still adorable!

Then Jac was 4 months old!

Then we rang in a new year!

Seems I need to start using the pack & play while I get ready for work.
And last but not least, today Jac is 6 Months Old! I cannot keep him still to save my life so I thought lots of pictures were appropriate. His little personality is coming out more & more. I think you can see some of it in these pictures.

Much love to all!

Tis the season!

I'm apparently not very good at this blog thing. This time I will blame the holidays! Jac is doing wonderful! He has grown so much in such a small amount of time. It's funny how the smallest milestones are the most exciting thing EVER when you are a new parent. Jac found his hands, started sucking his thumb, rolled over on his side to sleep, started laughing (which is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard) and yelling (not so beautiful, but really funny). We had pictures with Santa, and are getting very excited for our first Christmas as a family of 3 (well 4 if you count Bear)! Can you believe Christmas is only 12 days away? Where did 2013 go? Hope everyone is doing well and has an amazing Christmas and New Years!

Just hanging with my dog. That wont share her toys.

Seriously one of the biggest smiles he has ever had. Thanks Lisa for babysitting last night!

Well that's all for now! Merry Merry!

Ok. One last picture. I know everyone loves Baby Jac, obviously, who wouldn't? But Granddaddy and Grams have Jac on a higher pedestal then anyone I think. Those are a couple of happy cats right there. Grams isn't pictured (she is taking the picture), but I know her happy is just as big.

Our little pumpkin!

The last 2 months have flown by! I have been neglectful to our poor blog so buckle your seat belts, this is gonna be a long one!

First of all, I cannot believe Jac was this small! I just had to post this picture, I couldn't help it!

One Month old at the end of September!

Aunt Megan came for a visit! The weekend was too short but we loved having her :)

We love walks!

Let me just say this is a well traveled baby. Before he was 2 months old he made it to the mountains for his first Appalachian State game. He did so well! He basically slept the entire time!

Then we made a trip to the beach. Sadly our Uncle Arthur passed away. We traveled the Wrightsville Beach to celebrate his accomplished life. I learned so many neat facts about him. He was a Navy pilot, a pediatrician, he helped start a preschool at the United Methodist Church, and so much more! He was one special man & he will be truly missed!

This is just a cool picture Adam took while we flew to Wrightsville Beach.

While the majority of the family was in Wrightsville Beach, Aunt Cece & Uncle Tracy got to spend the day with our little man in Atlantic Beach! We all made it back for dinner together.

Just a little side note, Aunt Cece and Uncle Tracy were the first ones EVER to watch Jac so Mommy & Daddy could go to dinner. It was a big step for Mommy, but we did it!

Before we left the beach we took a little walk on the boardwalk!

We have gotten our first smiles here recently! Not just the ones in his sleep!

Jac loves bath time!

Our sweet friends in Natchez sent us a package full of goodies! We had to get a picture of Jac with his personalized Natchez gear!

Bear loves her little bald puppy ;)

And finally, Jac was 2 months old yesterday! He is our happy baby! We can't imagine life without him!

In 2 months we have learned so much! Let me just tell you a schedule is so very important when you have a little one. Jac was on a schedule by day two of daycare thanks to Ms. Jill, the lead teacher in Jac's class. Jac has done very well with daycare! Mommy has slowly transitioned back into work. We transitioned from the bassinet to the crip 2 weeks ago! That was a tough one too, but now he sleeps all night long! We go for his 2 month check up tomorrow. He will get his first set of shots. Mommy is well armed with baby tylonal! Jac has started to hold his head up pretty well by himself. He is starting to want to play! He loves his play mat, his swing & his bouncy seat. Daycare says he loves the Bumbo too! I haven't tried it at home yet, but I will soon. It's been so much fun watching him grow! We can't wait for what's to see what he gets into next!

Jac Natchez Chesson

He has arrived! Jac Natchez Chesson made his appearance on August 29, 2013 at 6:08 pm weighing in at 6 pounds 8 ounces, 19 inches long.

We are so blessed! He is an absolutely wonderful baby. We cant believe he is already 2 weeks old. They weren't kidding when they said time would fly! We have been to the doctor for his check up and he is already over his birth weight! We have a healthy happy boy!

I did actually take a 9 months picture. This was 2 days before Jac was born!

Graduation

Bear has been in "dog school" for 6 weeks now. Tuesday was week 7 and graduation day! She learned a lot. She can now sit, stay, lay down, walk nicely beside you, and spin (which she learned before class). It was a very happy day! Mommy & Daddy are very proud!

We even had celebratory cake, ice cream & chips with the class!

Ice Cream & Fried Chicken!

The shower for Baby Jac was on August 3rd! Let me just tell you this is one lucky baby! Aunt Popper did a wonderful job planning the ice cream themed shower & it was just fabulous! Every detail was just amazing! There was a ice cream bar, "melted" ice cream cone cake, root beer floats, "about to pop" popcorn favors & so much more! Thank you to Aunt Popper & everyone who helped out & came to the shower!

Baby Jac was definitely showered with gifts! He got just about everything you could possibly think of that a baby would need!

But that's not all! There was a cookout later in the evening for all of our friends to attend! Aunt Popper & Uncle Matthew (lovingly known as Uncle Junebug) had a bunch of us over at their house for some yummy pulled pork & fried chicken! There was even a pot of macaroni & cheese for Adam! I will post pictures soon! There were a million cameras & not one of them was mine. I'm blaming pregnancy brain for that ;)
